In 1879, the founder of Original Crown Mill. Frederic Pelletier opened a factory for making paper and envelopes in Brussels. He ordered from the Royal Mill a laid paper which was an authentic copy of he original handmade paper made 200 years before. And so “Original Crown Mill” was born.
He was one of the first to create silk-lined envelopes that were packaged in decorative luxury boxes. His successor earned the privileged of supplying the Belgian Royal Family together with the many distinguished noble families in Europe.
This tradition continues today with outstanding craftsmanship and quality that have made Original Crown Mill some of the finest writing paper in the world
