Packaged in a beautiful glass bottle, the special edition Herbin 1670 Edition Anniversaire Inks commemorate the 340th anniversary of the company, the world's oldest producer of inks.
Each 50ml bottle is sealed with Herbin gold sealing wax and the colour of the wax is a good indication of the ink's colour.
Stormy Grey is part of a collection of 8 inks that were first created in 2010 to celebrate J. Herbin's 340th anniversary, designed to represent the company's rich history. The anniversary inks are divided into two lines - the 1670 inks celebrate Herbin's founding, while the 1798 inks celebrate the year J. Herbin opened in Paris and expanded their ink production.
Herbin inks are pH neutral and non-toxic. They are water-based and therefore will run if wet. The inks are light-fast and made using only natural dyes.
